Seattle Hotels

Stretching lazily throughout the summer months, this annual series of live concerts brings some of the world's top musicians to Seattle's South Lake Union Park.

Past visitors here include Dizzy Gillespie, Smokey Robinson, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Tom Jones and Nina Simone. The festival website publishes full details of this year's programme as soon as they are available.

Directions The Park is 1.2 miles from Westlake Center and less than a mile from the centre of Seattle. Public transport: Metro bus lines 8, 17, 26, 28, 70 and 71 (after 7 pm).
By car: from 1-5 (North and South), take exit 167 (Mercer Street/Seattle Center), turn right on Fairview Ave North and drive northbound 500 feet, turn left on Valley Street South Lake Union Park is on your right at Terry Ave North, just west of the Centre for Wooden Boats.
